New Year’s Newsletter

Happy New Year!

As the year comes to an end, we all start thinking about our friends and family. At the World Sports Camp office we are thankful for every single member of our personal families as well as our World Sports Camp family. Too bad there are still over 5 more months until we get to see that family again!

The new year does however mean that we have started to move closer to camp, and we are receiving sign-ups for WSC 2019. If you haven’t yet, make sure you register soon so your preferred weeks don’t fill up and you get left out in the cold.

Introducing the Sports Executive Tour

Are you interested in sports management? Did you ever wonder what it’s like behind the scenes of a professional sports team? If so, check out our NEW Sports Executive Tour being offered week 6.

The Sports Executive Tour is designed to provide athletes, ages 13 and up, an opportunity to be introduced to the business side of sports. Interacting with high level executives, in a question answer format, allows each athlete the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about what it takes to run a sports program. Highlights of this 2-day trip include visits to:

  • The TD Garden or the Auerbach Center (the new practice facility) – Home of the Boston Celtics
  • Gillette Stadium – Home of the New England Revolution
  • The International Tennis Hall of Fame
  • A PGA Certified Golf Course
  • An excursion in the amazing seaside town of Newport, RI

We are excited to be offering this amazing opportunity to our athletes. You can find more information about the Sports Executive Tour on our website.

Welcome to the WSC Team Mackenzie!

We would like to introduce you to the newest member of the WSC Team, Mackenzie. She is our new Day Camp Director and sales executive and will be working year-round at the WSC office as well as at camp. If you hear from Mackenzie be sure to give her a big welcome.

Message from Mackenzie: “I am a recent graduate from Springfield College where I earned a degree in Business and Marketing. I was a member of the Springfield College Softball Team for four years and I am excited to have a fun Summer at Camp!”

It’s Baaaaack: The Six Flags Trip!

We heard you, and it’s back. During weeks 1 and 6 we are offering a trip to Six Flags New England.

Do you love thrill rides, and want to ride them all day? Then this trip is for you! Would you rather spend the day at their giant water park? Then this trip is for you! Do you enjoy playing midway games and relaxing while hanging out with your friends? Then this trip is for you! We allow athletes to choose what groups they want to be in depending upon what they enjoy doing most, making this trip fun for everyone.

In the past we had offered it as a required trip, and some athletes loved it, while others would rather have been back at camp playing sports. Now we have the best of both worlds by offering it as an optional trip.
