Golf

The WSC golf program was designed by All – America golfer (2nd in U.S.A.) Terry G.P. Shand, founder of World Sports Camp. World Sports Camp utilizes 3 golf courses including instruction at Crestview Country Club, known as the “Gem of Western Mass.”

The golf program consists of instruction at the WSC campus, at our own driving nets, as well as off campus excursions to the area driving ranges, regular play at area golf courses and our World Sports Camp – Productive Golf Academy Program will also have the pleasure of playing at Crestview Country Club, a course that hosted the PGA TOUR Travelers Championship Open Qualifier in 2015, the CT Section PGA Championship in 2013, the LPGA Friendly’s Classic from 1995-1998, as well as several US Amateur qualifiers.  Athletes receive focused instruction based on their skill level and individual strengths and weaknesses, which builds each athletes skill set.  The golf program utilizes the same philosophy that is present throughout the camp, positive reinforcement coaching and skill level training. From beginner to expert, golf is a game that always allows room for improvement. At WSC we will eliminate the frustration and make your game enjoyable and fun.

The WSC golf program is designed into 3 designations of participation.

1. World Sports Camp – Productive Golf Academy

The World Sports Camp – Productive Golf Academy program includes instruction on the course one day per week, with former All – America golfer (2nd in U.S.A.) and owner of World Sports Camp, Terry G. 2. Casual Participants

This designation is for athletes that will allow 1 trip to the golf course per week and the opportunity to go to the driving range up to 5 times per week.  Golf is not their primary sport; however, they enjoy participating regularly.

Additional Cost per week: $150.00 USD

3. Occasional Participants

This designation is for athletes who just want to play golf once in a while. Golf is not a sport that the athlete looks to play often while attending WSC.  These athletes will have the opportunity to go to the driving range up to 5 times per week, however, will not be able to go to the golf course.

Additional Cost per week: $75.00 USD

At World Sports Camp our sports instruction is taught by ability level in addition to age and grade. If an athlete is 11 years old, and has the ability level of a 14 year old, that athlete will play with the 14 year olds who have equal ability.  In addition, if an athlete is 14 years old and has the ability level of an 11 year old, we will NEVER embarrass an athlete, therefore, we will put that athlete with other 14 year olds who are of the same level.
